ImpressaLAN is designed to work within different network environments.
 
 

Example for a Local System

All network devices are in the same local area network 192.168.0.0/24

LAN-Module 1: LAN Module Settings / Automatic IP Address: DHCP (192.168.0.200) Server Contact Settings / Internal Server IP contact address: Automatic IP Address LAN-Module 2: LAN Module Settings / Automatic IP Address: DHCP (192.168.0.201) Server Contact Settings / Internal Server IP contact address: Automatic IP Address LAN-Module 3: LAN Module Settings / Automatic IP Address: DHCP (192.168.0.202) Server Contact Settings / Internal Server IP contact address: Automatic IP Address Client PC IP address: 192.168.0.100 Manager PC IP address: 192.168.0.2 / (Manager sends Broadcast Messages)

Example for an Internet System

Network devices are placed in several local networks.
 LAN1: 192.168.0.0/24 - a public IP address for manager existing here
 LAN2: 172.16.0.0/16
 LAN3: 10.0.0.0/8

Wireless-LAN and Local System

Because of restrictions on broadcasts in a wireless environment, the Manager PC should use a permanent IP address.
